What a double-storey house costs in Lahore
Most Lahore societies, DHA Lahore among them, count a marla as 225 sq ft, so 1 kanal is 4,500 sq ft. The table uses that figure. Some older areas use a larger marla, so check the area on your plot file. Each figure assumes both floors cover the whole plot; most designs leave open space, so the covered area and cost are usually lower.

Before you build in Lahore
Building plans are approved by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in the areas it controls, or by the society's own office in private schemes such as DHA Lahore and Bahria Town Lahore.
Each authority sets its own setbacks, covered-area limits and height rules. They decide how much of the plot you can build on, so bring your society's rules or approval letter to the first meeting and we will plan the house around them.

At our current rates, building costs Rs 3,800 per sq ft for the grey structure and Rs 6,500 to Rs 8,500 per sq ft for a finished house. A double-storey house on a 1 Kanal plot (4,500 sq ft) covering the full plot is 9,000 sq ft of covered area: about Rs 3.42 crore for the grey structure, or Rs 5.85 crore to Rs 7.65 crore finished.
